About Eric Smoldt
My professional history
I'm Eric Smoldt, and I'll be your designer from the first conversation to the final file.
For more than 30 years, I’ve helped businesses, agencies, and universities look as good as the work they do. When I was in college, I got my start as the first intern at Elgin Sweeper Company, illustrating street sweepers for parts manuals and sales literature. My first “real job” after school was as art director/illustrator at Kragie Newell Integrated Marketing and Communication. Most recently, I spent 19 years at Purdue University building brand systems, campaigns, and websites that made complex ideas easy to understand.
When you work with me, you work with me. No handoffs to a junior designer, no templates dressed up as custom work, and no juggling separate vendors for your logo, website, and print materials. I bring it all together into one consistent look that works everywhere your clients see you.
So if your brand doesn't reflect the quality of your work, you hesitate before sending someone to your website, or your materials just aren't connecting with the people you want to reach, let's talk.
