The ask

Make the book look as good as the writing

Each author arrived with something different: a speaker with a new title, a writer with a manuscript and a folder of illustrations. All of them needed a book that looked professional on a shelf and on a phone.

What I did

  • Speak Different by David Rendall and Stan Phelps: front, spine and back cover for print and a matching ebook cover
  • Things Found Along the Way by Mark S. Simons: 8 x 10 in. illustrated interior in InDesign, cover, and KDP print and ebook files
  • The 4 Factors of Effective Leadership, The Freak Factor and The Freak Factor for Kids by David Rendall: cover design
  • Spine widths, bleeds and barcodes calculated to KDP specifications for each page count
